Diana. The huntress in Roman religion. Goddess of wild animals, nature, vegetation, childbirth, the Moon, and chastity.
In Greek Mythology, she is Artemis.
Diana is often considered an aspect of a triple goddess, understood as Diana triformis: Diana (the huntress), Luna (the moon), and Hecate (the Underworld).
At her sacred grove on the shores of Lake Nemi in the Alban Hills, near Aricia, Diana was venerated as a triple goddess beginning in the late 6th century BCE.
