Kung Hei Fat Choy!

恭喜發財

The Year of the Ox certainly brought us plenty to think about and I am sure many of us have already been looking forward to what the fabulous Year of the Tiger will bring in 2022. As restrictions lift and life gets back more to normal, what are your hopes for this new Lunar Year?

In Chinese culture, the tiger is the symbol of bravery, wisdom and strength. The last Year of the Tiger was in 2010. I have two close family members that are tigers and I know for a fact they want this year to be their year! I designed this Year of the Tiger print with them in mind. Also available as individual greeting cards.

In China, families visit each other, wish each other good fortune, exchange greetings and good wishes. Kung Hei Fat Choi means 'wishing you prosperity'. Similar to Western cultures, it's a time to rekindle friendships and make new ones.

As for me, I hope this year of the Tiger brings lots more artistic influence and the bravery to try new things in my life. Although a little bit of prosperity wouldn't go amiss too! :)
